Our Wedding

We met at Boys and Girls High School in Brooklyn, NY, and over the years, we kept crossing paths through our friend circle and at curated events. Though we each lived full, independent lives and faced personal challenges, faith brought us back together. On a warm summer night at an end-of-summer pool party in New Jersey, we reconnected as friends—no expectations, just two friends sharing life stories—and in that moment we became lifelines for each other. Our journey hasn’t been without challenges, but our love has stood the test of time. Last summer, we reaffirmed our commitment and realized there’s no him without her and no her without him. On Thanksgiving evening, 11/27/25, Kirk surprised Alisha with a proposal—down on one knee, surrounded by family and friends. As we prepare to exchange vows before our Savior, family, and friends on this special and scared day, June 20, 2026. We pledge our undying love and pray the Lord continually blessIing our marriage as we begin this new chapter together.

Although you have gained your heavenly wings, this day would not be possible without you. Ingrid, you helped me see the depth and sincerity of Kirk’s love for me and our family. In the early days of our relationship—and especially in your final moments—he showed up with a selfless love, as if he had always been there.

You welcomed him as a brother, and he embraced you as a sister. On the night you began your journey home, it was his birthday, June 22. Yet, he never once put himself first. On the morning of June 23, when we said our goodbye, his care for me never wavered. Even in the years that followed, he continued to check on me before celebrating his own day.

Through that unwavering love, you opened my eyes to see him not only as my partner, but as my husband.

I am forever grateful that you were part of our journey and our union. As we celebrate our love today, we also honor your memory, your presence, and the love you gave so freely.
